Routeburn Track

Sunday brought a long day hike on the Routeburn Track, one of New Zealand’s “Great Walks.” It certainly did not disappoint!

We encountered so many new types of ferns as we wandered along the crystal clear blue water of the Dart River. The forest then opened to a high alpine meadow and glacier views once we reached Harris Saddle.

New Zealand continues to amaze us with its beauty and endless hiking opportunities.
